The snow has melted, our grass is green, and flowers are blooming. This could only mean one thing… spring is here in Belvidere!
It’s the perfect time to go hiking behind our farmhouse and see all the newly emerging life in the forest. You’ll even have easy to Vermont’s Long Trail, a system of 272 miles of footpath, 166 miles of sidetrails, and around 70 backcountry campsites. It’s just a short hike through the woods behind the house!
We may have just had two more feet of snow during the last storm (which means skiing is still excellent!), but believe it or not, winter’s on its way out. Now’s the time to book your spring break and summer vacations.
Tapping for maple syrup isn’t an easy process with several feet of snow on the ground, but that doesn’t stop Gary Corey. He and his crew brave the cold weather so they don’t miss the first sugar run of the season.
It is a beautiful day for snowshoeing! Our only decision is whether to go up the mountain for the breathtaking views of the brooks and frozen waterfalls or across the road where the terrain is much flatter, but still beautiful in its own way.
